In Q2-Q3 of 2025, we launched a new product, the BIT-VWC-MD1212Ma, featuring powerful features, robust performance, and versatile application scenarios. Simply put, it's a seamless 4K60 audio & video matrix with splicing capabilities. However, its functionality is far from simple, which is why many users struggle to fully understand it. Now, follow me as I explain it in detail.

 

From the outside, it looks like a standard 3U plug-in chassis.

 

Front Panel:

 

The front panel includes an LCD screen, three sets of buttons, indicator lights, and an IR receiver. The LCD and buttons allow you to view device status and perform some basic operations and controls. The IR function is currently reserved and undeveloped. Please contact us if you require it.

 

Rear Panel:

 

The rear panel accommodates six cards (up to three for input and three for output. Each input/output card features four HDMI 2.0 inputs and outputs and four channels of audio embedding/de-embedding), a power switch, Ethernet ports, and RS232 control interfaces. The Type-C port is used as a software upgrade and debugging port; use it with caution unless necessary!

 

Therefore, in terms of the plug-in card structure, it is a series of products, and different plug-in card methods can be selected according to the input and output quantity requirements of the specific project. A minimum of one input card and one output card can be inserted, resulting in a 4-input, 4-output 4K60 seamless matrix splicer; a maximum of three input cards and three output cards can be inserted, resulting in a 12-input, 12-output 4K60 seamless matrix splicer. There are nine card insertion methods:

 

As described above, the panel button control can meet the needs of most users for seamless 4K60 multi-input and multi-output project switching.

Because this product's primary control method is web-based, the following features will be explained through the web-based control interface. Before we begin, it's important to understand the following functional concepts:

1.Software-Defined Cabling: The output interface and display are connected randomly. The software allows you to quickly adjust the output-display mapping.

2.Multiple Canvases: The output is divided into multiple groups, each corresponding to a different video wall.

 

First, connect the device to the control computer using a network cable, or connect the device and control computer to the same local area network. Find the device's IP address on the LCD screen. Open a browser and enter the IP address to log in to the device's web-based control interface (username: admin; password: admin).

 

Software Interface Overview:

The left side shows the menu navigation bar, and the right side shows the operation area.

 

Software-Defined Cabling

After connecting the HDMI output to the display, open splice setting > screen to adjust the output mapping. Once this interface is open, select video wall 1 and set the rows and columns for the splicing, for example, 3 rows and 4 columns. The corresponding output OSD will appear in the upper left corner of each display. Simply drag the web interface output to the corresponding display to complete output mapping adjustment. Return to the splice interface and drag adjacent windows with the left mouse button. A dotted rectangle will appear, and the covered windows will be merged into a larger window, allowing you to freely open windows.

Note:

1. The minimum windowing unit is one display.

2. To open a single window on a single screen, simply drag within the window.

 

After setting the window arrangement, drag the input source on the left side of the window to the corresponding window to switch the input source seamlessly.

 

Multiple Canvases

If you have multiple video walls and want to control them from a single processor, you can use the split screen feature. For example, if you have three video walls: 2x2, 1x4, and 4x1, set each video wall to the corresponding mode, adjust the output mapping, and then return to splice to switch the corresponding input source and windowing requirements.

 

Our software only supports three video walls, but theoretically, our device can be divided into up to 12 video walls. With these three video walls, any combination of up to 12 display units can be created. Scene Saving:

When you need to switch between multiple scenes on-site, you can save all your desired scenes for quick and easy switching. You can save up to 12 scenes.

 

 

EDID Management:

In the Input Setting interface, you can modify the EDID of each input.

 

Each input provides these EDIDs for selection.

 

If none of the above EDIDs match, click EDID Management below to customize them. You can save up to 12 custom EDIDs.

The Output Settings interface allows you to adjust the EDID of each output.

 

 

Audio & Video Synchronous & Asynchronous Matrix :

Of course, it also functions as an asynchronous audio and video matrix, allowing you to route any embedded audio to any output. The audio settings interface allows for easy switching.

 

The last menu bar, System Setting, allows you to configure the device's network, buzzer, and OSD settings, as well as view version information. This board is self-explanatory, so there's no need to elaborate further.

 

 

This concludes our overview of the 4K60 seamless matrix splicer's features. However, some user-friendly features remain unmentioned, such as:

1. In addition to dragging with the mouse, you can also quickly switch input sources using the number keys above the main keyboard.

 

2. Each input/output can be customized, making it easy to keep track of individual input/output information for faster switching and control.

 

3. Signal switching is seamless.

4. In addition to panel and web control, RS232 control is also possible, with a serial port command table provided.

5. A web API is available for custom web UIs.
